Desks and Blackboards for Nyabinga DEB Primary School, Kenya

In May 2016 a sum of €7,200 was approved for the provision of desks and blackboards for Nyabinga DEB Primary School in Kawere Village, URI District, Kenya.

Nyabinga DEB Primary School is a special school established in the year 2009, with the core mission of providing quality education to mentally or physically challenged children in Kawere and its environs.

As a result of the grant from the Fund the school succeeded in procuring 190 desks and 12 blackboards. The blackboards improved the mode of delivery of lessons to these vulnerable children while the desks ensured that they no longer had to sit on stone floors, as hitherto, while receiving their lessons.
